Po-po-jutrze: Centrum Inkubowania Innowacji Społecznych is a social innovation incubator located in Poznań, Poland that concentrates on solving social problems. Since 1 September 2016, they realize a program for continuous adult education on a national level.

The idea of the project is to support lifelong learning among all who are 18 years old or older.  “At Po-po-jutrze we can see 30-year olds learning new languages, 40-year-olds changing their professions, 50-year-olds raising their qualifications, 60-years-olds learning about new technologies, 70-year-olds developing their passions and so on,” states the Po-po-jutrze team.

To participate in this program, you have to describe an idea helping people with limited access to continuous education, such as those who live in rural areas, are unemployed or over 30 years old. Your idea may touch upon teaching methods, workshops, or tools facilitating lifelong learning. For example, your team can create an app for revision of the material acquired during training courses.

Anyone, is it a startup, large company, institution or an individual, can participate in the program. After an initial selection, 60 best ideas will receive support, including workshops and consultations with experts, in a so-called “pre-incubation phase”. Out of these ideas, 32 will be selected for further development and will receive a grant of 60,000 zł (about 14,000 euro) each. At the beginning of 2018, 4 of these projects will be implemented and appear on the market.

Po-po-jutrze has two organizers. The first one is SENSE, an education company that focuses on raising the qualifications of employers and employees alike. Between 2008 and 2015, SENSE realized over 30 educational projects such as coaching, postgraduate studies or training courses. The second one is PPNT (Poznański Park Naukowo-Technologiczny), the very first science and technology park in Poland. PPNT has over 20 years of experience in supporting startups, scientists and creative entrepreneurs. Last week Startup Poznań, a lively startup community, joined this program as a partner.

The deadline for applications is 30 November.
