Folks in Wroclaw should head over to the next next PLUGinWrocław meetup which is happening tonight. The event unites entrepreneurs, innovators, and business folks and they’re going to discuss how to inspire and encourage young talents to start their own business. The meetup is part of “Foundations of Ecosystem.” and PLUG’s mission is to connect and empower leaders of Polish technology and creative industries worldwide.

PLUG is a Polish Tech Link which aims at connecting Polish and British and foreign entrepreneurs. Started by Polish diaspora in London, it organises meetups in London, Wrocław and soon San Francisco to promote Polish tech and help Polish businessmen all over the world.

The panelists are: Tomasz Karwatka (CEO Divante), Jagoda Zychlewicz (Huge Thing VC and Speed Up Venture Capital Group), and Łukasz Kosman (projektREBEL.pl, Founders Institute mentor).

Wroclaw has a huge and vital IT scene, international companies such as HP, Google or Nokia operate there. It’s estimated that over 40,000 people are working in the new tech there. It seems it all makes Wroclaw a perfect environment for startups. However, unlike Warsaw, Cracow or Tricity it still hasn’t developed a thriving startup ecosystem. It’s not that Wroclaw is completely barren; internationally recognised startups such as LiveChat, Pixers or Brand24 originate from there. But PLUG is trying to diagnose what’s the problem and what needs changing in Wroclaw with their “Foundations of Ecosystem”.

PLUGinWroclaw entry is free, all you have to do is sign up online to grab your ticket here or here. After the panels and discussion, there’ll be time for hitting the bar for drinks and networking.
