About The Event

Willy Lai, who until recently held the position of UX (user experience) design director at Apple, will be conducting workshops in Poland for the very first time. This is a unique event, as Apple professionals are bound by contracts not to share their knowledge publicly until the termination of their cooperation with the company.

Willy Lai is a renown UX design professional with an amazing background and over 20 years of experience. He worked for the largest tech companies, including Apple, Samsung or Paypal, as well as for numerous startups. He is also an instructor and design advisor at the University of California, Berkeley and a design mentor at Stanford University.

This workshop is organized by The Story, a Polish company specializing in innovations according to the Human-Centered Design principle, which is also implemented by world’s business leaders such as Apple, Microsoft, Google, Facebook or Amazon. The Story has successfully realized multiple projects, including the WCF Davos Conference dedicated to Human-Centered Design, as well as a few applications such as opoznionysamolot.pl – an app that helps travelers receive compensation for delayed or cancelled flights.

The UX design workshop is an intensive 1-day long course intended for both design professionals and non-professionals such as managers or business development specialists. A small group of attendees (10-30) will form teams and go through all phases of UX design while participating in lectures, discussions and practical exercises. Apart from deepening their understanding and UX skills, the attendees will also have the ability to network and learn from one another. A full description and all details of the workshop can be found here.
