About the Event

The Big Data Technology Summit is a purely technical conference devoted to the Big Data field, encompassing data analysis, scalability, search and data storage. As the focus of the Summit is providing the audience with practical information that can be immediately applied, no marketing or sales presentations are included in the agenda.

This is the third edition of the Big Data conference, and it continues to gather a great selection of speakers – this time, including professionals from top data-driven companies such as Uber, Spotify, Zalando and Alibaba. All speakers will deliver their keynotes in four simultaneous sessions, each focusing on a different aspect of big data. These topics include Operations and Deployment, Hadoop Application Development, Analysis and Data Science and Real-Time Processing. Additionally, the conference will offer some networking opportunities with 400 participants from all over Europe – parallel roundtables sessions moderated by experienced professionals, as well as an evening meeting.

On 7th and 8th of February, just before the conference, GetInData organizes Big Data workshops dedicated to all who want to learn more about the Big Data technologies – no former experience is required. During the workshops, participants will simulate working for a fictional company that creates an application for music streaming. The goal is to give the participants highly practical knowledge. The workshops take up full 8 hours each.

The organizers of Big Data Technology are Evention, a company that specializes in increasing the value of ICT business meetings, and GetInData, a big data company concentrating on the Apache Hadoop platform. The event has multiple partners, including the general partner, SAS Institute, and the strategic partner, Google Cloud.
