The presence on social media is an indispensable part of the modern marketing. Practically every company exists online and has an official Facebook fanpage, twitter, Linkedin, or Instagram. In order to reach out to your customers, you need to be present in the same social media they are. Mediatoolkit will help you monitor social media and keep track of everything that’s important for you.

Mediatoolkit has two founders, Tomislav Grubišić and Daniel Ackermann, software engineers with more than 15 years of experience in entrepreneurship and building products. They launched their first business, a digital marketing agency called Degordian, when they were only 20 years old. Their company’s grown to become one of the largest agencies in South East Europe, now employing over a hundred people.  Mediatoolkit was one of Degordian’s products created after the agency received funding of EUR 1,500,000.00 from RSG Capital in 2013.

After a fruitless search for a monitoring tool their mid-sized agency could use, they decided to build one for themselves. The existing programmes were either too complicated, had limited features or lacked good customer support.

They saw the value of such a tool for every company and wanted to create one suitable for everyone, regardless of the size of the company. Large companies have had access to this data for years and it was time such tech became available to small and mid-sized companies as well.

After a year of in-house development and focus on getting the product fit right with early adopters, the tool hit the market. Mediatoolkit quickly spread into four neighbouring countries, becoming the regional market leader in just two years and growing 180% year-on-year in terms of revenue. Since 2014, they’ve acquired more than 1,000 premium customers and more than 30,000 users. Miediatoolkit became profitable in December 2016. As of late 2016, we started expanding to the Czech Republic and the DACH region, and they’re planning to continue the expansion to foreign markets.

“The internet is filled with valuable data companies can use to improve their decision-making: announcements, customer opinions, competitor news and sales opportunities are everywhere. But it is impossible to track and analyse them by hand – it would take more than 400 hours for a human to analyse data that was posted in just one minute, but it’s very easy for a tool like Mediatoolkit,” says Iva Glavinić, PR and Marketing Manager at Mediatoolkit.

Mediatoolkit is an online media monitoring solution that notifies marketers, PR professionals and managers when somebody mentions their company online. It monitors over 10 million web sites and social networks in real time to give you the information you need to improve your company’s reputation and help you make better business decisions. With Mediatoolkit you’ll be able to discover trends, influencers, sales leads quicker as well as avert potential crises.

What’s important is that Media toolkit can be used by everyone in the company, not just media monitoring experts. It’s intuitive and each employee can learn to use it in minutes; no special training is needed. You can set up unlimited number of users for a single company account, with customising options so that everyone can receive precisely the data they need. The marketing team can analyse all brand mentions on Twitter, while the CEO can opt to get only competitor news from top five biggest sources. It is a tool that is as versatile as its customers want to it to be.

If you want to check it out, Mediatoolkit is free if you use up to 5 topics, which should be enough for most small companies.
