If you’re looking for new and fresh stock photography, Stockfresh may be your next go-to website for any stock content you might need. It offers millions of high-quality photography, vectors and illustrations at reasonable prices.
It was founded by Peter Hamza and Andras Pfaff, two Hungary based internet entrepreneurs who have been building online services for nearly 20 years under the name Dream Group, once a small web design studio that grew into something more. You might know them as the founders of Inertia, Hungary’s first online community for web designers; SeeMe, Hungary’s leading SMS marketing solution. Their most successful project was stock.xchng / Stockxpert, a low-cost stock photo agency based on the freemium model that amassed over 4 million members and eventually got acquired by Getty Images in 2009.
“This is our second stock photo venture. We felt that our experience in the field would help us build an even better product, and it was very exciting to be independent again, so after a brief break we got right into it,” says Peter Hamza, co-founder of Stockfresh.
Stockfresh offers millions high-quality royalty free stock photos, graphics and vector illustrations at affordable prices through a hassle-free, easy to use interface. The website is easy to navigate, you can either search a relevant keyword or browse existing categories. There’s loads of good content to browse and choose from, and the collection is growing all the time. Besides adding new content to the existing categories, Stockfresh is planning to expand by adding new content types such as footage. So it’s definitely worth to keep an eye out on how it’s going to develop.
“Stock photography is a tough market with some well-funded and huge players that are very difficult to beat, but we do have a few tricks up our sleeves. The images are generally quite similar across all the agencies and we don’t have the lead in quantity, but we’re really good at running things very efficiently and building a solid user experience. It makes a lot of difference if you genuinely care about your customers,” says Peter Hamza.
Stockfresh is entirely self-funded at the moment but that doesn’t stop it. While it might be a small business, it still has got tens of thousands of customers.
