CONFidence 2017
About the Event
CONFidence is the leading hackers and IT security experts meeting in Poland. Every year, it gathers almost 600 participants passionate about the field. It brings together the best security specialists, software developers, academics and students for an intensive two-day event filled to the brim with keynotes and workshops delivered by the top-of-the-league speakers.
The agenda of the conference lists an impressive number of 50 lectures. It tackles topics such as cybercrime, malware, cryptography in terrorism, and IoT threats, just to name a few. To give the attendees a full perspective of the subject, the lineup includes experts from all fields, for example police cybersecurity veterans Dominik Rozdziałowski and Jan Klima.
A brand new addition to the event’s schedule is a community corner – a place for all who wish to participate in discussions and presentations in a relaxed atmosphere. Top Polish security communities are eager to share their expertise and inspire others in a casual chat.
If you need to get your adrenaline rush, CONFidence has something just for you: Capture the Flag organized by Dragon Sector, a Polish team led by Gynvael Coldwind and Mateusz “j00ru” Jurczyk. Dragon Sector is currently leading in the world CTF games. The results of the CONFidence DS CTF will be included in the global classification, and the winner is guaranteed a prize of 10,000 PLN.
If all of these attractions are not enough for you, consider taking part in the Treasure Hunt. Teams of 2-4 people will be competing in solving challenging tasks and quests throughout the whole two days of the conference. The Treasure Hunt starts in May, so make sure to keep an eye on the event website. The winners can count on amazing prizes, such as 2018 conference tickets.
The main organizer of CONFidence is PROIDEA, a company specializing in IT/tech industry events both in Poland and abroad. They have been operating for over 10 years, bringing to life conferences such as PLNOG, Atmosphere, Bitspiration, JDD, InfraXstructure and 4Developers.
