About the Event

Whether you are a startup founder, an investor, an innovation freak or a digital society enthusiast, the Latitude59 conference in Tallinn is the place to be. For the last ten years, the event has been steadily growing, attracting up to 1500 participants from all over the world. This two-day-long conference has become a flagship startup event for Estonia, giving all attendees a chance to meet inspiring innovators and entrepreneurs passionate about digitization of the society, business, and government.

The event, hosted in a century-old power plant transformed into a creative hub, will concentrate on the future of fintech, healthtech, and space technologies from the perspective of fully digitized businesses. Accomplished experts will discuss the pros and cons of startup-corporate cooperation, and experienced startup founders will share their stories – both these of success and failure. Participants will also get an insight into the entrepreneurial situation in the region of the Baltics and learn the principles of growth hacking from professionals such as Michelle Messina, the CEO of the Silicon Valley-based advisory and training firm Explora International.

Latitude59 presents a unique opportunity for startups to present their solutions to a wider public. The organizers provide an option to set up a booth in a demonstration area, which – for two people – is actually cheaper than purchasing conference tickets. Additionally, chosen startups will have a chance to pitch their products on a big stage. Prizes for the early stage startups include equity free 2000 EUR, and the seed stage startups can win even 10,000 EUR from TransferWise. The winning team will also receive an invitation to CEE All Stars Demo Day at the Google Campus in Warsaw, Poland. Startups that plan to enter Asian markets can count on a special prize from Fukuoka that includes one-year-long financial aid for renting residential and office spaces. To top it off, Startup Wise Guys, one of the leading European B2B accelerators, and Buildit, an accelerator focusing on creative industries and hardware, organize of an additional demo night on 26th May.

For investors, Latitude59 offers a dedicated Investor Day on 24th May. The program focuses on providing networking and matchmaking opportunities for both investors and startups, a meeting with the Prime Minister of Estonia Jüri Ratas, and a reception at the Finnish Embassy. All investors registered at the conference’s website can browse through detailed descriptions of attending startups on a dedicated online platform.
