Krakow proved to be a city of innovation by hosting Impact ’17, one of the most important startup events in the CEE region. For two days mentors, influencers, scientists, and important entrepreneurs from all over the world discussed the challenges and the advantages of economy 4.0.

All in all, Krakow hosted over 300 speakers from over thirty countries, who met up to discuss the future of business and economy. Hundreds of people from influential businesses and organisations were present, such as MasterCard, RoboSavvy, TMobile, University of Chicago, Samsung, IBM, SAP, 500 Startups, AstraZeneca, Microsoft, Siemens AG, Monetary Authority of Singapore, TechCrunch, PayU, or Harvard Medical School.

The congress took place in the new International Conferences and Entertainment Centre. It’s beautifully located, with the view of the Wawel Castle, and it’s got all the modern infrastructure you may need. All that makes it a perfect spot for large international events such as Impact ’17.

Krakow got a chance to present itself as a modern city of an international status. It’s not only a beautiful tourist destination but also an innovative hub with plenty to offer to the world of business and science. What’s more, local startups and the fast-growing innovation ecosystem are a big highlight of the city, which is using all the available resources to be an exciting spot for new businesses. According to the European Digital City Index 2016, Krakow is in the top 60 European cities to launch your business, thanks to the amiable atmosphere, modern infrastructure, startup-friendly ecosystem and low costs.

Impact ’17 gave Krakow the opportunity to present all it’s got the best and it definitely didn’t waste the chance.
