If you are a startupper, chances are that you don’t plan on going to Hawaii to sip drinks on the beach for your holiday. But what about a weekly getaway with other entrepreneurs? I.E.C.T. – Summer School on Entrepreneurship is an intensive week-long event that guides the participants who have a business idea through the processes of market verification, team building, and implementing these ideas in practice.
I.E.C.T. – Summer School on Entrepreneurship takes place in the week from 17th to 23rd August in the picturesque region of Tyrol, Austria. Every day is filled to the brim with keynotes, mentor sessions, networking events and outdoor activities that allow you to absorb knowledge while spending high-quality leisure time. More than 45 internationally renowned experts will share their experience on topics scoping from startup development, through finance and law, to leadership, marketing, and innovation management.
The event is targeted especially to academics: Master and Ph.D. students, post-docs and researchers from the fields of technology, science, advanced engineering, life science, physics, mathematics, IT and AI, as well as to early-stage start-ups with technology or science projects. During the entrepreneurial getaway, the participants will receive tools helping them start their businesses, have the opportunity to make valuable contacts with professionals from all over the world, and pitch their ideas during the final Demo Day.
I.E.C.T. – Summer School on Entrepreneurship is organized by I.E.C.T. (Institute for Entrepreneurship Cambridge – Tirol), a private institution that aims to create a vibrant startup ecosystem in Tyrol by establishing strong cooperation with a network of partners from the University of Cambridge. All trainings are based on the valuable know-how of Cambridge experts.
The getaway will take place in Werkstaette Wattens – an international company center dedicated to startups and entrepreneurs. In addition to a co-working space, team offices and production & workshop units, Werkstaette Wattens also offers a Fablab for individual use at its 2,400m² facilities.
The applications for I.E.C.T. – Summer School on Entrepreneurship are open until 20th June on this website. Projects are assessed in the terms of their novelty, sustainability, and innovation.
