About the Event

If you always wanted to create your own business but found the whole process too intimidating to event start out, here’s your chance. Startup Weekend Warsaw, taking place in the trendiest coworking space in Warsaw, will let you pitch your idea, assemble a team, network with mentors, work on a solution, and create the foundations of a startup – all in 54 hours.

Together with other creative and passionate people, you will set out to work on a solution from the field of fintech or blockchain. During the first day of the event, every one of you will have the opportunity to present their idea for an innovative business. After voting on the most promising ideas, you will form teams and get to work.

There are no panels, keynotes, or lectures in this event. The best way to learn is by doing, and during the 54 hours, you will be building your business from scratch. With the support of experienced mentors, such as Mick Griffin (the Chief Revenue Officer at Brand24) or Tomasz Kolinko (founder at Trivial.co), you will polish and validate your idea multiple times during this one intensive weekend.

On the last evening of Startup Weekend Warsaw, your team will pitch the project you’ll have worked on in front of a panel of judges: Rafał Plutecki, the Head of Campus Warsaw; Magda Borowik, the Special Envoy for Fintech to the Minister of Digital Affairs, Republic of Poland; and Sławomir Lachowski, the Chairman & CEO of G-Rock Limited. They will evaluate your business idea basing on the value it can provide to the customers, the prototype or MVP, and the business model.

Impact CEE is an official gold patron of this event; as a participant, you will have a chance to win a free ticket for the impact CEE fintech ‘17 conference taking place on 6th and 7th December in Katowice. This is a great opportunity to learn more about fintech, blockchain, and cryptocurrencies, as well as network with hundreds of specialists and entrepreneurs from the field.
