No matter if you’re a freelancer, or a full-time worker, you’re likely all too familiar with this feeling: a necessary purchase comes up, but payday is still a good few days away. The situation isn’t exactly worth taking out a serious loan, or turning your account balance red, but you sure wouldn’t mind speeding things up a little. If you know what I’m talking about, PayU’s delayed payments service may be right up your alley.

PayU’s Pay Later service is a brand new fintech trend in online shopping, and PayU is the first financial service provider to offer a payment method of the sort in Poland. Online shoppers are now able to delay paying for their purchases for up to 30 days, completely free of charge, on items or services of between 100 and 2000 Zloty in value.

So what does the service look like? According to PayU, you won’t have to worry about a long and strenuous verification process – over 80% of clients who try to Pay Later for the first time finalize their purchases in under 3 minutes! All the system needs is some standard personal information required for any online financial transaction. Then, the system looks for any available data concerning the user’s previous transactions conducted via PayU, while also analyzing behavioral data collected by the loan partner – Kreditech – in order to make the final decision. The credit score tech employs the use of AI and machine learning based algorithms, which, for some users who might not have a comprehensive credit history or proof of regular income, may often increase the chances of a positive decision.

But what if the 30 days passes by, and due to some unforeseen circumstance, you’re not quite ready to pay for the past purchase? No worries, PayU will turn the owed sum into a regular loan. While you will need to cash out some fees present in the company’s loan service, you will be able to pay the delayed payment back in three to six installments.

The service, which had gone through a strenuous pilot period since September of 2017, is currently available in all of the online stores where PayU payments are available. For more information about the Pay Later offer, feel free to check out PayU’s website.
