About PowerUp!

PowerUp! 2019 is the fifth edition of the competition, designed to celebrate the achievements of start-ups operating in the cleantech sector in Central Europe. This year, the big areas of focus include clean air, the circular economy, mobility and heating.

The PowerUp! Competition gives enterprising start-ups a platform for presenting pioneering new ideas that might otherwise go unnoticed. By rewarding these companies for their endeavours, it aims to make a leading contribution to the development of innovation in the sustainable energy sector.

What makes PowerUp! so special?

What makes PowerUp! stand out from other competitions for start-ups are its Bootcamps: before regional finals and also the Grand Final, participants spend two days verifying their business models and taking their presentation skills to another level.

Who is it for?                   

Innovative startups, working on innovative solutions (products or services) related to energy, mobility, cleanair, heating, smart cities or cleantech.

PowerUp! prizes

The best ideas receive financial prizes (up to €50,000) and the chance to be invited to join the prestigious InnoEnergy Highway® accelerator. (an opportunity of €150,000 investment).

PowerUp! is open to start-ups from 24 countries:

Bulgaria, Albania, Croatia, Armenia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, The Czechia, Estonia, The former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia, Greece, Georgia, Hungary, Malta, Moldova, Montenegro, Latvia, Serbia, Lithuania, Turkey, Ukraine, Poland, Cyprus, Slovakia, Slovenia and Romania.
