Prof. Paweł Bogdanski, MD, PhD – President of the Polish Society for the Treatment of Obesity, Head of the Department of Obesity, Metabolic Disorders and Clinical Dietetics, Deputy Dean of the Faculty of Medicine, Poznan University of Medical Sciences. She has been dealing with complex diagnostics and treatment of obesity for over 20 years. He is a precursor of new communication about obesity, which focuses on current scientific knowledge. In every action he emphasizes the dignity of the patient, he is an ambassador of the sick, a visionary of changes that are necessary to stop the development of the pandemic of obesity disease in Poland. Winner of, among others, this year's award of Wprost weekly – Health Visionaries in the category Visionary Educational and Preventive Program for the nationwide educational campaign "Let's talk frankly about obesity" and last year's prestigious Trust Award Golden Otis for the fight against stereotypes about the treatment of obesity. Author of over 300 scientific publications on obesity and its complications. Editor of the book "Obesity and its complications" awarded as the best university textbook in 2021.
