Tylko, co-CEO

Mikołaj Molenda – architect and entrepreneur, co-founder of the innovative furniture brand Tylko and the Bridge design studio. His video installations and projections have featured as the scenography of major opera and theatre productions. His collaborators include artists such as Boris Kudlička, Zbigniew Preisner, Keith Werner, Mariusz Treliński, Jacques Lassalle. Mikołaj earned a degree in Architecture and Urban Planning from the University of the Arts Poznan and the Poznan University of Technology. In 2009, he joined the young Warsaw-based architectural firm WWAA where he worked on the highly-acclaimed Polish pavilion at the Shanghai Expo 2010. In 2011, he co-founded Bridge – an interdisciplinary design studio pioneering Augmented Reality technology. Bridge’s clients have included the European Space Agency, the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development, BMW, the Polish central bank (NBP) and Teatr Wielki – Polish National Opera. In 2014, along with Hanna Kokczyńska, Jacek Majewski, Benjamin Kuna and Michał Piasecki, Mikołaj launched the startup Tylko. The company revolutionizes the furniture industry by combining quality design, sophisticated technology and an uncompromising commitment to meeting customers’ needs. In its seven years, Tylko has raised a total of 33 million EUR in funding and sold more than 100,000 pieces of furniture.
