Painter, perfomer, activist and nature lover. She is a graduate of painting at the Academy of Fine Arts in Wrocław. In 1982 she was one of the founders of Luxus Group, one of the most important artistic groups of the 1980s. In 1997 she founded the association Volans which supports artists of the young generation. For 15 years she has sailed on the Vistula River in the Solny galar, taking action to preserve the river in its natural state. The consequence of these actions was the initiation in 2015 of the cyclical and existing outside the official circulation water residency project Flow/ Flow, whose participants include artists, musicians, performers and curators.

Ciepielewska has shown her work in solo and group exhibitions, including at the Museum of Modern Art in Warsaw, Zachęta National Gallery of Art, Centre for Contemporary Art Ujazdowski Castle in Warsaw, Hamburger Bahnhof in Berlin, Strykejernet in Oslo, John Hausard Gallery in Southhampton. Her works can be found in private and public collections such as: Museum Jerke in Recklinghausen, the Contemporary Museum in Wroclaw and the National Museum in Krakow.
