Area Vice President Central & Eastern Europe and Baltics at AstraZeneca. He holds a master’s degree in Medical Biology and a PhD in Pharmacology. Before joining AstraZeneca in 2001, Hans worked for Solvay, Altana and Yamanouchi (nowadays Astellas), where he held various national and international commercial roles. From 2005 until 2015, Hans worked for AstraZeneca as Managing Director in several European countries, including Italy, The Netherlands and Belgium. He also worked in the UK as Managing Director of AstraZeneca’s global Antibiotics Business Unit, combining both the international development and commercial functions. For the past five years he was Managing Director of AstraZeneca Germany, during which he oversaw a significant transformation of the organization. As a result, the German subsidiary now achieves exceptional business results and records strong double-digit growth.
