Global Director Alexa Text To Speech, Amazon
Lucyna Chwastowska has 20+ years of experience in software engineering for companies like Siemens, Tieto and Motorola. Since February 2021, she has been responsible for the global organization of Amazon Alexa Text-To-Speech, managing a global team of 200+ engineers and developers, including TTS team implementing advanced science in speech synthesis. During her time in Amazon, she has led the development and introduction of six male Alexa voices, in order to stop the device from having only a female voice by default. Lucyna continues to work on projects, which propel an environment for gender equality within the IT sector.
