Karolina has always worked at the intersection of innovation and projects focused on creating solutions to real-world problems with high commercialization potential, including recent trends in the application of artificial intelligence in life sciences. She has research and business experience through work at an external technology transfer office, intellectual property entities, seed and venture capital funds, and industry partners.
She holds a Ph.D. in biotechnology, and her research interests have included molecular modeling of protein structures, particularly methyltransferases, structural genomics projects, and crystallization. She has authored and co-authored many scientific and book publications, as well as popular science articles. She was a board member of the Young European Biotech Network (YEBN) and has collaborated with the European Federation of Biotechnology (EFB) and the journal Nature.
