BIO

Anna Zimny Zając, editor-in-chief of Medonet.pl.

Co-author and chairwoman of the Scientific Councils of the National Health Test of Poles (the largest cyclical health survey in Poland conducted since 2000), the National Nutrition Test of Poles and the National Healthy Skin Test. Host of the original programs “Check!” and “#GuestMedonet”.

Winner of the Success of the Year in Health Care – Leader of the Year 2022 in Health Care in the media and public relations category. Multiple winner of competitions for medical journalists – Medical Journalist of the Year (2019, 2020, 2022) and Crystal Feathers (2020, 2021). In 2021, she received the honorary title of Health Educator, awarded by the Association of Journalists for Health. In 2023, she was included in the Health Market ranking of the 50 most influential women in Polish health care.

She graduated in biotechnology (specialization in medical biotechnology) from the Faculty of Biochemistry, Biophysics and Biotechnology at Jagiellonian University (master’s thesis in the Department of Immunology). She earned her doctorate at the Faculty of Biotechnology and Horticulture of the Agricultural University of Cracow. She has completed foreign scientific internships in Belgium at Ghent University (VIB Department of Molecular Biomedical Research) and in Spain at Universitat Politècnica de València (Departamento Ecosistemas Agroforestales). She completed online specializations in the form of: Epidemiology in Public Health Practice (Johns Hopkins University) and Global Health Innovations (Imperial College London). Currently pursuing an MBA in Health Care at Lazarski University.

She is a member of the Program Board of the Health Care Forum and the Program Board of the G2 Forum. She is a member of the Journalists for Health Association and the Journalists Club for Health Promotion. Member of the Jury of the “Children’s Hospital of the Future” competition of the K.I.D.S. Foundation.

Co-author of scientific publications in peer-reviewed journals, including “Vaccines”, “Nutrients” and “International Journal of Environmental Research and Public Health”.
