Janusz Uriasz, a navigator, professor, Vice-Rector for Innovation and Development at the Maritime University of Szczecin, deals with navigation safety issues encompassing space technologies and competencies for their operation. Janusz Uriasz is a member of the Geodesy Committee of the Polish Academy of Sciences and also chairs the Polish Navigation Forum. Since 2012, he has been a member of the Polish Accreditation Commission (PKA), conducting quality assessments of numerous higher education institutions in Poland and abroad, including Bulgaria, Estonia, Georgia, Lithuania, Latvia, Romania, and Ukraine. This year, he became the chairman of the Polish Accreditation Commission.
