Ruben Mehrabyan was born in 1967 in Yerevan, received medical and military education in Armenia and Russia, served in the Armenian Armed Forces. He was editor-in-chief of the Russian language version of Armenia’s leading news websites—1in.am (2010-2015) and Aravot.am (2016-2021), and has been engaged in social and political activity.

Ruben Mehrabyan has been AIISA associate fellow since 2015 and AIISA Research Coordinator—since 2021.

Vice-president of Rally For The Republic Party – since 2021.

He is an author of more than 500 publicist, analytical and research articles on foreign policy and regional security published in Armenia, Georgia, Ukraine, Russia, Iran, Poland, USA, Germany, Bulgaria and other countries.
