Teofil Jesionowski
Professor Teofil Jesionowski is the Rector of Poznan University of Technology (PUT) and holds the position of Chair of the Conference of Rectors of Polish Technical Universities. He is also a member of the Board of the Conference of Rectors of Academic Schools in Poland and the Academy of Engineering in Poland. Since 2020, he has been a member of the Polish Academy of Science.
Professor Jesionowski has visited numerous centers and scientific institutions worldwide and collaborates with several international universities, including the Technical University of Denmark, University Technology Sydney, and Kent State University. He is a prolific speaker, having delivered lectures and speeches across five continents.
He has an extensive publication record, authoring over 550 scientific papers in renowned journals, achieving a SCOPUS h-index of 59. In addition, he is a co-creator of various foreign and domestic patents. Professor Jesionowski serves as an expert for multiple research funding organizations, including the National Science Centre Poland, National Centre for Research and Development Poland, F.R.S.-FNRS Belgium, NWO Netherlands, Swiss National Science Foundation (SNSF), and DFG Germany.
Throughout his career, Professor Jesionowski has supervised 27 doctoral theses. Seven of his former doctoral and master’s students have achieved the highest academic degree. His main research areas include chemical sciences (chemistry) and engineering and technical sciences (chemical engineering, materials engineering).
