Magdalena Pietrusik-Adamska
The Director of the Department of Health and Social Affairs at the City Office of Poznań is responsible for preparing and implementing many innovative social, equality, senior, family, and health projects that are valued both nationally and internationally. She graduated in law from Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznań and has completed several postgraduate courses in management.
Under her supervision, Poznań became the first city in Poland to launch the Center for Family Initiatives, which, along with the Center for Senior Initiatives, carries out a range of activities aimed at improving the quality of life and supporting residents. She has extensive experience in managing public administration units and implementing social services and health policy programs. She coordinates the development and implementation of activities related to the introduction of the Equality Action Plan in the city, in accordance with the European Charter for the Equality of Women and Men in Local Life.
Within the structures of the City of Poznań, she holds various positions including deputy chair of the Team for Equality and Diversity Policy, deputy chair of the Advisory Council for Senior Policy in Poznań. She is also the deputy chair of the Advisory Council for the development, implementation, and updating of the “Strategy for Solving Social Problems for the City of Poznań for the years 2017-2025” and deputy chair of the Advisory Council for the implementation and realization of the City of Poznań’s Family Policy for the years 2022 – 2025.
On a daily basis, she manages the work of a 10-department division, coordinates the actions of independent specialists, and supervises the activity of municipal organizational units appointed to carry out tasks in the field of health and social affairs.
