BIO

Michał graduated in International Relations from the Warsaw School of Economics. Since 1999, he has worked in the team of Advisors to the President of Poland, leading educational programs for digital transformation. He created and managed the “Internet in Schools” program, the most recognizable educational initiative of the President of Poland.

In 2004, Michał became an advisor to the CEO of Polish Telecommunications responsible for government affairs. He founded and led the most well-known corporate foundation in Poland – the Orange Foundation. Connecting Polish schools to broadband Internet, grants for rural communities for innovative technology projects, and installing free telephones in children’s hospitals have become recognized social projects in Poland and abroad.

In 2010, Michał joined Intel. As the director for the EMEA region, he led a team responsible for strategic programs with governments, international organizations, and the academic community. Over the years, he shaped the regional strategy of the company’s development in the STEM area and engagement in the startup ecosystem. Michał is responsible for the Intel Digital Readiness agenda aimed at the global democratization of skills in the field of artificial intelligence. Currently, as Intel’s Country Manager in Poland, he implements the company’s strategy in one of the most significant countries for Intel in Europe due to investments in R&D.

Michał is a co-founder and chairman of the Board of the Coalition for Polish Innovation, an organization supporting the creation of favorable conditions for the development of the innovation ecosystem. He is also the creator and head of the board of the “IT for She” consortium, which works to increase professional activity among women in the ICT sector. This program received the European Commission’s “Best Digital Skills Award” in 2017.
