Hubert Kijek
Flying in zero gravity is no problem for him, living on the Moon is just another day at the office, and sometimes he looks at the world from a height of 40 kilometers. Hubert Kijek is a television presenter and reporter, associated with the TVN group for the past 9 years. Hubert primarily hosts the program “Kijek in Space” on TVN24 BIS, where he talks about space travel, technological innovations, and scientific discoveries.
In September 2022, as part of the special program “Edge of Space,” he launched a stratospheric balloon with the company Scanway to an altitude of 40 kilometers. Viewers watched the mission unfold live for 3 hours, including live images from the sent capsule.
A few months later, the journalist received an invitation from the European Space Agency to participate in a parabolic flight, where he experienced zero gravity for over 10 minutes and observed how research is conducted under such conditions, research that changes the world. Hubert shared his experiences from this trip in the report “Gravity Action,” which was broadcast on TVN24 and TVN24 BIS channels.
Then, in February 2023, he participated in a scientific experiment at the LunAres habitat, where he and a group of scientists explored how astronauts might live on the Moon in the future. Reportages from the research facility were broadcast on TVN24 and TVN24 BIS channels as well as on the tvn24.pl website as part of the series “Our Man on the Moon.”
