Szabolcs Komjáthy is leading Turbine’s software development, infrastructure, and IT teams. With a mission to bring cutting edge technology into the otherwise slowly progressing cancer research field, Turbine operates with an extremely interdisciplinary team of biologists, bioinformaticians, data engineers, AI researchers, and software engineers.

Szabolcs focuses on the company’s internal tooling, with the goal of providing a highly scalable and easily extensible platform for its project teams. This platform includes the ingestion and validation of biological data, training of Turbine’s core machine learning models for modeling biology, running hundreds of millions of experiments on it, and analysis of the results through Turbine’s big data framework.
