Graduate of the Wrocław University of Economics, majoring in Organization and Management. Has more than thirty years of experience in the banking sector – mainly in the areas of risk, restructuring and credit, as well as in international financial groups operating in Europe, the USA and South America, worked with regulators in Poland and abroad. Member of supervisory boards, creditors’ councils, member and chairman of key risk management committees.

After graduating with a degree in Organization and Management from the Wrocław University of Economics, he began his professional career in 1991 at Bank BPH S.A. in the credit area. From 1992 to 2012, he was associated with Bank of the West and then with Bank Zachodni WBK S.A.. During these years, he held positions including Director of the Credit Quality Control Department, Director of the Business Intelligence and Risk Management Area, Deputy Chief Risk Officer, served as Chief Credit Officer, and Deputy Chief Risk Officer. In addition, he was chairman of the Credit Committee of BZ WBK S.A., deputy chairman of the Credit Risk Forum, and deputy chairman of the Risk Models Forum.

Since January 2013, after obtaining approval from the Polish Financial Supervision Authority, he has served as Vice President of the Management Board of PKO Bank Polski S.A. responsible for the Risk Management Area, which includes in particular the management of key risks relating to the Bank’s operations. He participates directly in the development of the Bank’s strategy. He is chairman of the Bank’s credit committees, chairman of the Operational Risk Committee, deputy chairman of the Assets and Liabilities Management Committee, member of the Bank’s Strategy Committee, IT Security Committee, Data Quality Committee. He was a member of the Supervisory Boards of PKO Bank Polski S.A. Group companies: PKO Bank Hipoteczny S.A., PKO Leasing S.A., PKO Faktoring S.A.. He is currently a member of the Supervisory Boards of the companies Credit Information Bureau S.A. and Commercial Bank Protection System S.A.
