For almost 14 years, he was a journalist for Rzeczpospolita and also worked for Newsweek and Wprost. He has won many awards and distinctions in the fields of journalism, interviewing, reportage, and investigative journalism. He has won the Grand Press award for the best texts of the year three times. Together with Mateusz Baczyński, Janusz Schwertner, and Kamil Dziubka, he won the Grand Press award for news of the year for Onet in 2018. He is the co-author of three books: „Donald Tusk. The Road to Power”, „Wałęsa. Traitor or Hero?”, and „Zbigniew Ziobro. A True Story”. Since 2020, Andrzej Stankiewicz has served as Onet’s deputy editor-in-chief for information.
