Bio Jarosław Michałowski
Prof. Jarosław Michałowski is a psychologist and a certified cognitive-behavioral psychotherapist and supervisor. He leads the Poznan Laboratory of Affective Neuroscience (PLAN) at SWPS University. He has worked with adults in both outpatient and inpatient settings for many years, and is currently working as a psychotherapist with children and adolescents. His research investigates the neural mechanisms underlying mental health issues and the effectiveness of cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) interventions. Additionally, he is involved in developing e-health interventions.
Prof. Michałowski has served as the principal investigator and collaborator in numerous research projects, including studies on the neural correlates of procrastination, emotional contagion, efficacy of imagery-based psychotherapy, emotions related to climate change, and the effectiveness of chatbot-based psychotherapy interventions. He is the author and co-author of many scientific articles in neuroscience, psychophysiology, and psychotherapy.
