Cezary Ostrowski

BIO
Artist, musician, creator, and Creative Commons activist. He studied at the State Higher School of Fine Arts in Poznań, earning degrees in drawing and art theory.
In 1981, he founded the music group Bexa Lala, experimenting with electronics and various musical genres. His first album, „New Swing”(1983), launched his musical career. He has collaborated with Mikołaj Trzaska, Marcin Świetlicki, and Kora, among others. He is also the author of the books „Death in the Bear” and „Forest Whale”.
His work has been published in Max, Plastik, Machina, Nowy Nurt, Wprost, and Lampa.
In 2005, his remix appeared on „The Wired CD: Ripped. Sampled. Mashed. Shared”. He was also the creator of a virtual world in the game „Second Life” (2006–2009). In 2017, he was appointed Deputy Director of the Culture Department at Poznań City Hall. In 2019, he released the ambient-jazz album The Holy Gomon Crusade.
