Jan Szyszko was appointed Secretary of State at the Ministry of Funds and Regional Policy on December 19, 2023.

In 2016-18, he was a European affairs analyst at Policy Insight. Subsequently, an evaluator and researcher of the European Commission’s transport and communications policies at an international consulting firm.

Co-founder and board member of the Strategies 2050 Institute, at the Institute he was responsible for analysis of Poland’s energy transition, the National Reconstruction Plan and EU policies. In the 2023 parliamentary campaign, he was a member of the staff of Poland 2050 and the Third Way, responsible for substantive communications.

Author and co-author of numerous reports summarizing Poland’s achievements in the EU and legislative activities of EU institutions.

Cooperated, among others, with the Batory Foundation, the In.Europa Institute and the Schuman Foundation.

Graduate of the College of Europe in Natolin, Dublin’s Trinity College and Charles University in Prague.
