BIO

Born on October 26, 1970 in Warsaw. Doctor of sociology, political scientist, specializing in Eastern European issues.

A graduate of the University of Warsaw, after graduation she took a job at the Institute of Philosophy and Sociology of the Polish Academy of Sciences, where in 1999 she defended her doctoral thesis entitled. “Political Activity of Poles 1989-1995.”

From 1992 to 1995 and 1999 to 2012, she was also professionally affiliated with the Center for Eastern Studies in Warsaw, where she served, among other positions, as head of the Russian department and deputy director. From 2011 to 2012, she was OSW’s representative in Brussels and coordinator of a joint research project between OSW and the French Institute of International Affairs.

From 2012 to 2014 she was Undersecretary of State at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and from 2014 to 2016 she was Poland’s Ambassador to the Russian Federation. She also served as director of the think-tank Forum of Ideas Foundation. From 2020 to 2023, she was director of the Strategies 2050 Institute.

On December 13, 2023, she was appointed on behalf of Poland 2050 by Szymon Holownia as Minister of Funds and Regional Policy.

She speaks English and Russian. She has three children.
