Dr Doepfner is the CEO of Axel Springer SE (e.g. POLITICO., Onet.pl, FAKT) – the leading transatlantic media and technology company.

Additionally, he serves on the boards of Netflix, Inc. and Warner Music Group Corp. Previously, he was on the boards of Vodafone Group Plc and Time Warner, Inc.

Before his time as a media executive, Mathias Doepfner was editor-in-chief of WELT and studied Musicology, German Literature, and Theatrical Arts in Frankfurt and Boston. He is affiliated with global institutions—including the American Jewish Committee and the steering committee of the Bilderberg Meetings.
