Mateusz Mazzini

BIO
Sociologist, reporter, Latin Americanist. A graduate of Oxford University, he also studied at the National University of Wales, Cordoba and Bilbao. Visiting researcher at University College London (2016-2017). Regular contributor to Gazeta Wyborcza, POLITYKA and the Review.
He writes about the European far right, populism, Latin American countries, the Global South and events in the West and South of Europe. He has been nominated for the Grand Press 2020 in the “press reportage” category. Winner of journalistic fellowships awarded by Deutsche Welle, the Bertelsmann Foundation, Balkan Insight and the Balkan Investigative Reporting Network. Author of the books “The End of the Rainbow. Chile after Pinochet“ and ”Italy True. A Journey in the Footsteps of the Mafia, Migration and Crises.”
He is a regular contributor to the international press, including the Washington Post, Foreign Policy, El Pais and Foreign Affairs. He is a regular commentator for Radio TOK FM and Monocle Radio and Monocle Magazine. On TVP World, he hosts “Wider View,” a weekly program on international affairs.
