Tomasz Sobania is the Polish Forrest Gump , an extreme long-distance runner, ultramarathoner and inspirational speaker who proves with his achievements that nothing is impossible. As a 26-year-old from a small town in Silesia, he has taken on challenges that many people find unattainable – he has run thousands of kilometres across Europe and the US, combining sport, a passion for travel and charity work.
His latest feat was 125 marathons in 139 days – running across the entire United States, from east to west, from New York to California. Along the way, he visited Washington, where he received an American flag in the US Congress, was enthusiastically welcomed by the Polish community in Chicago and completed the legendary Route 66, ending the expedition in San Diego.
Tomasz has six major running expeditions through 13 countries under his belt , including: a run across the whole of Poland, a route from Poland to Rome, from Gliwice to Barcelona, or to Greece and back . During his travels, he met with great personalities, such as Pope Francis in Rome, Robert Lewandowski in Barcelona and Robert Makłowicz.
Tomasz is not only a runner, but also the author of four books, a traveler and an expert in implementing large projects . In his lectures, he shares his knowledge about perseverance, motivation and consistent pursuit of a goal. His speeches are a combination of true passion, authentic stories and practical tips. During the Kolosy 2024 Festival, his lecture was recognized as the best in the entire event, gathering an audience of 4,000.
