Marcin Mikołajczyk

He has nearly 20 years of practical experience in supervisory activities, including the specifics of commercial banks and the operation of the financial safety net. Since 2009, he has held management positions in the Office of the FSC in the areas of banking supervision, analysis and assessment of the economic situation of the banking sector, risk monitoring and compliance with prudential norms by commercial banks. Since 2017, deputy director of the Department of Commercial and Specialized Banking and Payment Institutions (now the Department of Commercial and Specialized Banking), responsible for overseeing sector analytical activities and day-to-day supervision of systemically important banks. He has participated in numerous significant projects related to the supervision exercised over the banking sector in Poland.
On the recommendation of the Office of the Polish Financial Supervision Authority, he is a member of national and international bodies dealing with supervisory, analytical and regulatory activities in the banking sector.
He graduated with a master’s degree in Finance and Banking from the Warsaw School of Economics and holds a doctorate in economics. He is a researcher and academic teacher at the SGH Institute of Banking. He is also active in the area of university activities, serving as a supervisor of undergraduate and graduate theses and is the author of publications on banking and finance.
