BIO

He was born on March 5, 1981 in Toruń. He graduated in political science from the Nicolaus Copernicus University in Toruń. He was a member of a number of associations, including the Institute for Civil Society Development, NZS and the “Bydgoszcz Suburb” Association. He worked in the Presidential Team for Local Initiatives. He completed an internship at the Consulate General of the Republic of Poland in New York.

He gained his first professional experience working as a graphic designer and product manager in Toronto advertising agencies. From 2005 to 2014 he worked in the MP’s office and then in the senatorial office of Deputy Speaker of the Polish Senate Jan Wyrowinski. Since 2013, he served as Director of the Office of the Executive Board of the Kujawsko-Pomorskie PO Region, during which time he also managed the work of the Office of Senator of the Republic of Poland Przemyslaw Terminski.

At the same time, from 2010 to 2020, he gained experience in the local government of Toruń as a Councillor of the City of Toruń. While exercising his mandate, he emphasized the promotion of civic activity and increasing the participation of residents in the life of the city. Among other things, he was the initiator of the civic budget in Toruń, programs: “Bezpieczne Bydgoskie”, ‘Orlik dla Bydgoskiego Przedmieście’, creator of the ‘Initiative Factory’ project, co-author of the Rules of Procedure for Public Consultation. In the City Council of Toruń, he chaired the Commission for Development, City Strategy and Spatial Management, and also served as Chairman of the Civic Coalition Councillors’ Club.

From June 1, 2020, to January 18, 2024, he was Deputy Mayor of the City of Toruń, overseeing such spheres of Toruń’s local government as municipal management, sports and recreation, historic preservation, image and dynamics of Toruń’s city center, architecture and construction, surveying and cartography, business registration and traffic matters, environment and ecology, and health and social policy.

In the 2024 municipal elections, he ran for the Citizens’ Coalition Election Committee. In the second round of voting, he achieved 65% of the vote, winning the seat of Mayor of the City of Toruń for 2024-2029.
