Member of Parliament of Ukraine, Co-Chair of Parliamentary Group of Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine for interparliamentary relations with Republic of Poland, Chairperson of the Sub-committee on Cultural Policy of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Committee on Humanitarian and Information Policy, Member of the Political Party “Evropeiska Solidarnist” faction.

Born on 2nd of June 1968 in Lviv. Married, has two sons and a daughter.

He is the author of many legislative drafts, including laws on the status of the state language, support for book publishing and cinematography, the establishment of the Book Institute and the Ukrainian Cultural Foundation, and many others.

He initiated the decision of the Ukrainian parliament to declare the deportation of the Crimean Tatars in 1844 genocide.

Currently, Mykola Knyazhytskyi’s political activities are focused on banning the activities of the Russian Church in Ukraine as a threat to national security, the state’s information policy, as well as solving demographic problems in Ukraine and helping Ukrainian refugees abroad and internally displaced persons in Ukraine.

He was also a member of the 7th and 8th convocations of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine.

Before being chosen Deputy of Parliament – well-known Ukrainian journalist. Mykola started his TV career in 1989 when he joined Gorbachev’s team which initiated first alternative TV news
TSN broadcasted by the Central Nationwide TV Channel in the USSR. Mykola founded the fist independent TV news program “Vikna” and initiated creation of network of independent TV companies UNIKA once Ukraine obtained Independence.

In 1994 he was Head of International Noncommercial Organization INTERNEWS. He founded and was managing director of TV channels STB, TVI, Espreso TV, founded newspaper “Gazeta 24”, he also was anchor of analytical and news programs. He was producer of number of documentaries and fiction films. Mykola also was Director General of the State TV MEDIA, member of the National Council of Television and Radio Broadcasting of Ukraine. Kniazhytskyi is a member of the Austrian International Press Institute.
