BIO

Dan Levine is a private investor and the Founder & Managing Partner of Tenfore Holdings, a leading New York-based investment firm. The firm specializes in investing in growth-stage commerce and predictive data investments that address pressing global challenges in agriculture, food, logistics, health care, and the environment. Dan and Tenfore deploy a value investing approach, identifying undervalued companies with proprietary data and technology, and investing in and nurturing their growth for the long term. He is also a strong advocate of advancing sustainable development through business and innovation and champions this through his investment in and mentorship of enterprises that are powering the next Industrial Revolution.

Under Dan’s leadership, the Tenfore team has successfully deployed a mix of capital, strategic guidance at the board level, and operational support to talented managers to help companies realize their full revenue, profit, and market-value potential. In its ten years of operation, the company has generated significant long-term value for its investors, who are comprised of leading family offices and institutions. In addition to his investor responsibilities, Dan plays an active role on the boards of Fulton Fish Market (Chairman), Optoro, Agerpoint, Inspire, Humatics, and Stardog.

Throughout his career, Dan has been recognized for his leadership skills in overseeing, developing, and operating core and startup businesses, including within Sears Holdings and the Washington Post. In these roles, he served as an effective operator creating winning offerings in e-commerce, mobile, social, machine learning, and local commerce spaces. He also developed successful multichannel experiences that leveraged and linked complex online, store, supply chain, pricing, inventory, merchandising, and analytics systems.

Dan was awarded an AB, magna cum laude, and an MBA from Harvard University. He also serves as a member of the Board of Trustees for Thirteen WNET New York Public Media. An avid champion for ocean health, Dan supports various philanthropic efforts focused on marine-protected habitats, as well as climate and sustainability solutions towards the decarbonization transition.
