Ulla Leinikka
BIO
Ulla Leinikka works at the Central Library Oodi in Helsinki. Her duties as the head of the department of substantive services include substantive services for adults, children, and families, as well as collection management and personnel department work. She has education in sociology, political science, and information studies, obtaining a master’s degree in social sciences from the University of Helsinki, as well as international experience, obtaining a bachelor’s degree in social sciences from the University of Utah.
Her employment history includes work in several other libraries within the Helsinki City Library. Her professional interests focus on participatory aspects of library service development, enforcing and maintaining an organizational library culture based on shared management, and recently on learning knowledge-based management.
