Marcin Kierwiński
Marcin Kierwiński was born on August 22, 1976, in Warsaw. He earned his master’s degree in engineering twice at the Warsaw University of Technology (at the Faculty of Electronics and Information Technology and at the Faculty of Production Engineering). He also completed postgraduate studies at the Institute of Organization and Management in Industry “Orgmasz.”
He began his public service career with work in local government. In the 2006 elections, he was elected to the Warsaw City Council. In 2010, he became the deputy marshal of the Mazowieckie Voivodeship. Subsequently, in the 2010 elections, he obtained a seat in the Mazovian Regional Assembly and once again joined the voivodeship board as the deputy marshal.
He first obtained a seat in the parliament in 2011, running in Warsaw. In the subsequent parliamentary elections in 2015, 2019, and 2023, he renewed his parliamentary mandate in the Płock district. In the latest elections, he achieved the best result among all candidates in the district. He currently serves as the Minister of the Interior and Administration.
In 2015, he held the position of Secretary of State in the Chancellery of the Prime Minister and Chief of the Political Cabinet of Prime Minister Ewa Kopacz. Since 2020, he has been the Secretary-General of the Civic Platform.
From 2000 to 2007, he worked at PZL Warsaw-Okęcie. In 2007, he became the Vice President of the Board of IF Max-Film, and from 2007 to 2010, he was the Vice President of the Board of Warsaw-Modlin Airport.
