Nima Sepasy is the Senior Vice President of Innovation at Mastercard and sits on the leadership team of Mastercard Foundry, the company’s innovation lab. Foundry is an interdisciplinary team – from data scientists to technologists – focused on powering Mastercard’s ability to deliver new, customer-centric solutions and experiences.

Nima drives core elements, including foresight research, new prototype and concept development, and senior-level customer engagement, supporting Mastercard’s innovation program cross-functionally and at both global and regional scales.

Nima is also the managing editor of Mastercard Signals, the company’s insight report series exploring trends at the intersection of payments and emerging technologies. This work contributes to Mastercard’s corporate strategy and underpins the company’s long-term vision for how next-gen technology trends will unfold.

Before joining Mastercard in 2019, Nima was an Entrepreneur-in-Residence at GIANT Innovation, advising Fortune 500 companies on best practices in start-up methodologies. Before that, he was with Citi Ventures, developing research and insights on emerging trends and technologies. Nima is a passionate entrepreneur, launching businesses in multiple sectors, including finance, international trade, and digital consulting.
