Mikołaj Marcela – Author, Academic Teacher, Optimist
Mikołaj Marcela is an author of bestselling guides and books on education, an academic teacher, and an optimist. For years, he has been dedicated to addressing issues within schools and education.
He has authored bestselling guides for adults, such as “How Not to Screw Up Your Child’s Life” and “How Not to Go Crazy with Your Child,” as well as for youth, including “Why School Irritates You and How to Survive It,” “Everything They Don’t Tell You When You’re a Teenager,” and “You’re Not Sentenced to School.” His body of work also includes essay collections like “Selections: How School Destroys People, Societies, and the World” and “Patodisobedience: How School, Family, and the State Teach Us Helplessness and What to Do About It,” along with reportage in “Let’s Make Our Own School: About Those Who Revolutionize Education Their Way.”
Dr. Marcela holds a doctoral degree in humanities and serves as the vice-director of two study programs at the University of Silesia in Katowice: creative writing and creative writing and publishing marketing. For over a decade, he has conducted workshops and classes for students, teachers, and parents. He is a tutor, certified teacher, and a moderator certified in the design thinking process. With a long-standing commitment, he advocates for alternative forms of education.
