
Agnieszka Łukaszczyk
Dr. Agnieszka Lukaszczyk is a highly respected figure in the global space sector, recognized for her deep expertise in space policy, government affairs, and international cooperation. With a career that bridges public, private, and non-governmental domains, she has played a pivotal role in shaping international space governance and promoting the integration of space technologies into the global economy.
Previously serving as Vice President for Government Affairs, EMEA at Planet, Dr. Lukaszczyk was instrumental in driving strategic partnerships and advancing policy initiatives across Europe, the Middle East, and Africa. Earlier in her career, she held key positions within the European Commission, contributing to critical developments in space policy, security, and Earth observation.
Beyond her work in government and industry, she has been a strong voice for sustainable space practices and international dialogue. She led the Brussels Office of the Secure World Foundation, a premier NGO advocating for space sustainability, and was a research fellow at the European Space Policy Institute. Her commitment to empowering young professionals is evident through her leadership at the Space Generation Advisory Council, where she served as Executive Director and Chair.
Dr. Lukaszczyk currently leads the Sustainability Task Force of the International Astronautical Federation (IAF), where she spearheads initiatives to ensure the long-term viability of space activities on a global scale.
An accomplished author and speaker, she has contributed to several seminal works on space security and policy, and is a frequent keynote speaker at major conferences and academic institutions. Her thought leadership and advocacy have earned her numerous accolades for excellence in the field.
She holds a PhD in Space Security from the Polish Defence Academy, along with advanced degrees in Management of Space in New Economies and International Politics. Her educational background includes studies at top institutions such as Oxford University’s Saïd Business School, American University, and the Warsaw School of Economics.
