Minister Rodziny, Pracy i Polityki Społecznej – Agnieszka Dziemianowicz-Bąk

Agnieszka Dziemianowicz-Bąk, born on January 20, 1984, in Wrocław, is a Polish educator, philosopher, social researcher, political activist, and a doctor of humanities.

She graduated in pedagogy from the Faculty of Historical and Pedagogical Sciences and in philosophy from the Faculty of Social Sciences at the University of Wrocław. In 2018, she obtained a doctoral degree in humanities in the field of philosophy from the University of Wrocław. From 2010 to 2016, she worked as a research assistant at the Educational Research Institute in Warsaw. Since 2010, she has been cooperating with the Social Thought Center named after Ferdynand Lassalle in Wrocław.

Politically active since 2015, Dziemianowicz-Bąk was a member of the Razem Party until February 2019. Since 2019, she has been a member of the Polish Parliament, serving on the Social Policy Committee and the Education, Science, and Youth Committee. During her term, she has been involved in defending the rights of citizens, especially people with disabilities, protesters, and workers.

In 2020, she launched “Parliamentary Employee Assistance” in her parliamentary office, which she used to intervene in defense of workers against irregularities in employment and violations of labor rights. Additionally, in 2020, she served as the co-chair of Robert Biedroń’s campaign staff in the presidential campaign.

In September 2021, she joined the New Left, joining the SLD faction. On December 13, 2023, she was appointed Minister of Family, Labor, and Social Policy.
