Deputy Secretary of State

She graduated from the Faculty of Land Reclamation and Environmental Engineering at the University of Agriculture in Wrocław, specializing in geodesy and cartography. In 2006, she obtained a doctoral degree, and in 2013, she obtained a postdoctoral degree in technical sciences in the field of geodesy and cartography. She has been associated with the University of Zielona Góra since 1999. From 2016 to 2019, she was the vice-dean for research at the Faculty of Civil Engineering, Architecture, and Environmental Engineering, and from 2019 to 2020, she was the director of the Institute of Construction and the chair of the scientific discipline council for land engineering and transportation. From 2020 to 2023, she served as the vice-rector for cooperation with the economy.

She is the author or co-author of monographs and textbooks, as well as over 130 publications on the use of artificial intelligence in solving problems in engineering geodesy and applications of AI in construction, spatial planning, and environmental engineering. In the current term, she sits on the Committee of Geodesy of the Polish Academy of Sciences, the Polish Association of Surveyors, and the Polish Association of Civil Engineers and Technicians.

Since the beginning of her professional career, she has been collaborating with the socio-economic environment. She is the author and co-author of dozens of expert opinions on measurements of displacements and deformations of building structures. She has led projects carried out jointly with industry. She is a co-author of patent applications and utility models in Poland and Europe. She holds professional qualifications in the field of geodetic investment services.

Professor Maria Mrówczyńska, PhD, Eng., Prof. UZ, is responsible at the Ministry of Science and Higher Education for matters related to innovation and development, university organization, education, and student affairs.
