Mark Hicken is Managing Director, EMEA Mid-sized Markets for Johnson &Johnson Innovative Medicine.

Mark leads diverse teams in 31 markets across Europe, in close collaboration with the local operating companies. Together they aspire to improve patient outcomes and bring the latest innovative therapies to the
patients, doctors and nurses who need them.

After beginning his career with the company in 1998 as a sales representative, Mark worked his way up through the organisation to hold several leadership roles. Most recently, he served as Vice President EMEA Strategy
Organisation and prior to that, led global strategy for Neuroscience, where he oversaw many new product launches and broadened J&J’s footprint beyond psychiatry into neurological disorders.

As Managing Director for Janssen UK & Ireland from 2014 to 2019, Mark grew the UK business significantly and was a board member of the Association of British Pharmaceutical Industry (ABPI) and Vice Chair of the
American Pharma Group. Currently he serves as Vice Chair, EFPIA European Markets Committee.

Mark holds a Postgraduate Diploma in Health Promotion from Manchester University and a BA (Hons) Sport & Recreation Studies from Staffordshire University. He is passionate about helping his teams reach their full
potential and uplifting underserved communities.
