Piotr Dardziński
The Director of the Warsaw University of Technology Innovation Center from 2019-2023 served as the President of the Łukasiewicz Research Network, which brings together 26 research institutes and provides comprehensive solutions for businesses.
From 2015-2019, he held the position of Undersecretary and later Secretary of State at the Ministry of Science and Higher Education, responsible for fostering collaboration between academia and industry. He is the creator of the law on implementation doctorates and coordinated efforts to develop a new concept for the functioning of research institutes.
As a member of the Innovation Task Force, he supervised inter-ministerial work on the first and second innovation laws. The first of these was recognized by the Employers of the Republic of Poland organization as the best deregulatory law in the field of taxation. Both regulations are considered a turning point in eliminating barriers to cooperation between scientists and entrepreneurs.
He was the former director of the Center for the Thought of John Paul II and vice president of the Tertio Millennio Institute. He is a graduate of the Faculty of Law and Administration at Jagiellonian University and the University of Hamburg. He holds a PhD in humanities and has been a long-time lecturer at Jagiellonian University in Krakow.
He is a recipient of a scholarship from the University of Freiburg and a graduate of the prestigious management program conducted by IESE Business School in Barcelona.
