Joanna Seklecka – Chairwoman of the Clearing Agents Committee, President of the Management Board of eService
On a daily basis, Joanna Seklecka combines her duties as President of the Board of the largest Polish clearing agent – eService, and Chairwoman of the Clearing Agents Committee, which brings together the largest representatives of the Polish payment industry. In both roles she is committed to the development of electronic payments and strengthening the voice of the industry in the debate on building a modern economy supported by innovative technologies. Representing the industry, she engages in an active dialogue on regulatory changes that can stimulate further growth of the market and the creation of secure and friendly solutions to serve all its participants.
Joanna Seklecka’s interests and activities also extend beyond the field of professional activity to include important social issues. For this reason, in addition to the title of “Ambassador of the Electronic Economy” given by the Program Council of the Congress of the Electronic Economy – she is very often identified as one of the ambassadors of equal opportunities for women in the IT industry. Her professional and social commitment has been repeatedly honored with awards and titles, such as: The most influential woman in the Polish payments industry, Pearl of Polish Business, or Manager of the Year.
Joanna Seklecka is a graduate of the Warsaw School of Economics and a doctoral student in Management. She graduated from the elite Stanford Executive Program, run by the Stanford University Graduate School of Business. She gained her first professional experience in the gaming, consulting and auditing industries. She began her career at eService in 2004, as Director of the Finance and Accounting Department, to become Vice President of the Management Board of eService S.A., part of the PKO Bank Polski Capital Group, after seven years. There she was responsible for the business and financial aspects of the Company’s operations, and in 2014, she coordinated its transformation and entry into the NASDAQ-listed, international EVO Payments group. She became General Manager there, and later, in October 2017, she was appointed CEO of eService Sp. z o.o., where, also after its integration into the structures of the global giant, Global Payments Inc. (NYSE: GPN), she is successfully pursuing her business goals and achieving further successes.
